Poem: CTLR ALT DLT

 I must forget

Ctlr alt dlt

Offered food

From fingertips

A smile hiding behind

an open door

Sitting side by side

Desperately

Trying not to touch

Looks across the room

At inside jokes

Tapped noses

And laughter under

Our breaths

Quiet conversation

Under stars

As our only light source

And the hug

That zapped me awake

After years of slumber

I must forget

That electric shock

Of the Divine

Because fate is cruel

To “zing” with someone

Not meant for you

Poem: Sundays are for You

I’ll only admit it to him

The dumbfounded mess I find myself

Laminating in

Like a cat in a sunbeam

Belly up and begging for attention

He’ll never ask

And I’ll never tell

Poem: Todays Threads are Tomorrows Tapestry

Congratulations

On making it this far

I knew you could do it

Because that’s who you are

We all get lost

A time or two

Along the long winding path

That we call life

Threads will slip

Through our fingers

But some entangle and hold

Long enough

Until we snag on something else

More “us” in the tapestry

Colorfully woven

Into the beauty of our life’s work

Poem: Stay

There you are

Showing up again

In the recesses of my mind

I am ashamed to admit

Of the corners I’ve tucked

Memories and moments

Inside

Of feelings I don’t understand

Yet you stroll back in

Taking up space

After leaving me to simmer

Once again

But with no moments of grace

You see

You’re never far

No

From the complexities of thought

You frolic freely between my brain folds

And nestle deep inside

If I were religious

I’d pray to forget

But I’m not

And I don’t

Wish to forget

Ignore

Or toss away

The thoughts of you

That made me stay

Poem: Snip

Tie a knot

Lift the scissors

Snip the excess

Cut the past

At the quick

Make it bleed

Then

Patch it up

At the seam
